British and Irish Masters International - Falkirk 18/11/06

George Irving, Colin Miller and Liz McGarry were selected for the Scottish teams for
the veterans international race at Falkirk.

Liz unfortunately had to withdraw prior to the race with a back injury but Colin
finished in 41st place to help the over 45 team to the bronze medals and George did
likewise with the over 40 team finishing in 50th position and getting a third team spot.

There were also four Irvine runners in the open race with Brian Craig and Ian McManus
In the men’s race and Helen Morton and Mary Miller in the women’s.

After the race there was an excellent function at night with the prize-giving, meal and
dancing - if you had any energy left.
